Home made baby food!
Morning all!
I wanted to share how I save money and make good, safe, healthy baby food!
Purchasing the pre-made squeeze packs isn’t bad by any means but they do add ingredients to preserve, sweetin or inhance the flavours. I had also heard horror stories of mold or bugs in the sealed pouches that have made kids sick...... that made my skin crawl.
I found this handy dandy little infantino make your own squeeze pouch kit, with backs lids and all. ( This is not an add)

Anyways making the pouches is super easy! Just puree up ANY fruits and veggies you want really well and use the little machine to push it into the pouch. I freeze them right away and take them out to defrost in the morning so they can be enjoyed later in the day!
I have made flavours such as :
broccoli, pineapple.
Peach, carrot, apricot.
Strawberry, yogurt, banana.
Apple, pear.
It ends up taking roughly an hour to cook any veggies, purée it and fill the bags. But if you’re like me and you want to make sure you know what’s going into your kids little bellies the time is worth it. It does also end up saving you money as Well as the squeeze pouches you can purchase go for anywhere from $1.00-$3.00 per pouch. The homemade ones can cost anywhere from $ 0.25 - $ 1.00 per pouch.
If you have any questions feel free to leave it in the comments!
