Korean summer dessert: Pat-bing-su
It's early summer in Korea.
Every country has different dessert.
In Korea, we also have some.
This dessert above is one of our summer dessert, called
Pat-bing-su
.
Pat is red bean in korean.
Bing literally means ice, and Su is water.
Bing-su (氷水), however, means, shaved Ice with Sweetened Red Beans.
I used to love Pat-bing-su and enjoy a lot in summer time, but I don't often these days.
Because I try to drink and eat warm drinks and food.
I am still tempted sometimes then I go to cafeterias for it. :)
We even have cafes specialized in various bing-sus such as Seolbing.
What I like about this dessert is that
you can add anything to it.
Cookies, chocolate, jellies ... whatever you name it!
For vegitarians,
you can put soy-milk instead of milk.
