Eating in Melbourne: Delicacy House

Delicacy house is a small Chinese restaurant that has a wide range of noodle soups and rice dishes. It is unassuming from the outside but the noodle soups are quite good on a cold day. You can choose from different soup bases including tomato, spicy, and pickled soup to name a few. Then you choose from vegetarian, fish, sliced beef, beef brisket, sliced pork, pork ribs, meatballs, or seafood. I decided to choose tomato soup base with pork ribs.

The ribs were really delicious, having been slow-cooked until almost falling off the bone. The soup noodles were rice noodles and came with tofu, bean sprouts, wood ear (black fungus), and parsley. The tomato flavour is intense and satisfying.

There is basically no table service here but if you just want a simple meal, it is worth a try.
