Ingredients: Small shrimp: 300 gms (peeled and cleaned) Onion - 1 tbsp (chopped) Tomato - 1 tbsp (chopped) Ginger - 1 tbsp (chopped) Garlic - 5 cloves red dried lentils - 6 tbsp coriander - 1 tbsp turmeric - 1 pinch whole cumin - 1 teaspoon curry leaves - 8 tamarinds - oil soaked in 1 inch water - 2 teaspoons, salt - to taste.
Method: Wash the shrimps well and put them in a bowl. Add onion, tomato, salt and turmeric. Leave it for 10 minutes. Make a thick paste of red chilli and whole coriander in it. Also make a paste in garlic and coconut. Now take one tablespoon of oil in two separate pans. Put whole cumin and curry leaves in the first pan. Now put the shrimp covered with onion, tomato, salt and turmeric on low heat. Keep it like this for 2 minutes and give a cup of water. Cover and cook for about 6 minutes. Put chilli and coriander paste in the second pan. Cook on low heat for 3-4 minutes. Now put the coconut paste in this pan. Put it again. Cook on low heat for 3-4 minutes. Pour a little salt and tamarind water and cook for 2-3 minutes. In the first pan, the fish is ready. Now put the spice in the second pan in the first pan. Mix well and increase the heat a little. Cook for 3-4 minutes so that the excess broth dries. You can eat white rice or dhosa with dried shrimp curry.
