Homemade Honey Meatballs: The Perfect Lazy-Day Comfort Dish
If you feel lazy, but you are hungry. You don’t want to go out, and think about ordering some food. Then you realize delivery probably takes 20-30 mins, so around 20-30 minutes, can you cook something easy and delicious? Absolutely, I’ve got your back!
Let me share with you a recipe that is one of my favorites on lazy days, low effort but high reward dish. It’s homemade honey meatballs! Just imagine you’re staying home in comfy clothes, a steaming bowl of white rice in front of you, topped with glossy, savory sweet meatballs and watching your favorite show or movie. Does it sound amazing? 😀
So, if you are in, follow me to make some tasty honey meatballs with me!
Ingredients:
- 300 gr of minced pork
- Flour, cooking
- Garlic, shallot, spring onion
- Salt, fish sauce, black pepper, honey, msg (optional)
How to make it:
- Step 1: Grab a mixing bowl and throw in your minced pork. Add chopped garlic, shallot, a little salt, black pepper, and a spoon of flour so everything sticks together nicely. Mix well.
- Step 2: Shape the mixture into little balls. Big ones, small ones, do whatever fits your vibe today. No rules here 😂
- Step 3: Heat some cooking oil in a pan. Drop the meatballs in and fry on medium heat. Flip when one side turns golden and smells amazing. Don't fry too long to keep the moisture inside the meatball. A little crispy outside and juicy inside, that is what you need.
- Step 4: While the meatballs are frying, quickly mix together: chopped garlic, shallot, fish sauce, honey, some water and a little Msg if want. This is the magic sauce, glossy coating that makes everything tasty.
- Step 5:When the meatballs are golden on both sides, pour your sauce straight into the pan. Let everything simmer until the sauce thickens and absorbs into the meatballs. Toss in chopped spring onion for final touch.
Now look at that beautiful, shiny, fragrant honey meatballs!
Now, let’s enjoy eating together! The meatballs are so juicy and flavorful, with a sweet savory taste that melts perfectly into every bite. Even better with white rice, trust me, this 's real comfort!
So that’s all for today, an easy , quick and delicious dish that I share. Hope you like it and give it a try.
Sending good vibes and love from Da Nang.
