Yup, you nailed it. But I knew this one was not going to be a great kicking bag so it was made purely for design. I made the wooden sphere in the photo, too. It was a hundred times harder to make than the bag... I've made four similar wooden spheres (one a pretty cool lamp) and had to consult a math professor at university in Copenhagen to calculate the angles between pieces where I put the dowels! Without correct angles between the pieces, you couldn't complete even a quarter of the sphere... it would be impossible to close up.
