Happy birthday CSKA (Sofia)

CSKA Sofia celebrates it's 70th birthday. It is the most recognizable team from Bulgaria. They keep the record of most time winners of Bulgarian championship, most times won in a row.

CSKA Sofia fans are proud that the team start careers of the best players of Bulgaria. Some of them are Golden Ball winner, Barcelona former star and an idol of Leo Messi - Hristo Stoichkov. Dimitar Berbatov - an English Premier League Top Goalscorer, Stilian Petrov - former Celtic and Aston Villa captain. Martin Petrov - former Atletico Madrid and Man City winger. Also Emil Kostadinov, a star striker of Proto and Bayern Munchen, Lyuboslav Penev more than 100 goals in Spanish Premiera and many more.

The team is proud with two epic semi-finals in European Champions Cup and one in European Cup winners Cup. Also it is the team that stopped Ajax hegemony in UCL in 1974, Nothingham Forest won 2 times in row in the early '80 and they lost to CSKA Sofia on the next. Because of winning against top teams in Europe multiple times, they are called by the press "Giant's killer from eastern Europe"
