Santiago Canizares was the unluckiest Spanish goal keeperimage.jpeg

After Andoni Zubizarreta took his spot in the 90s, Canizares won the right to be Spain's first-choice at the 2002 World Cup but dropped an aftershave bottle in the build up, severed the tendon in his toe and was forced to miss out.

Then a certain Iker Casilas came along and Canizares was forgetten forever.
