Bad Few Days For Joel Obi: Involved In Car Accident, Injured Again.
It has been bad days for Super Eagles/maestro player Joel Obi who is not always featured this season because of injury.
Last week Wednesday, April 11 after attending a birthday party of his teammate, Nicolas Burdisso he got an accident on his way home with his Jeep Grand Cherokee.
Though the Nigerian midfielder was not wounded in the car crash, their team coach Mazzarri did not want to take any chances and left joel on the bench while the his team play Chievo, the coach feel he need to be properly checked.
Joel is not the first Nigerian player to be involved in a car accident in Italy, back in 2007 Victor Obinna got an accident as his car flipped several times and a year after Angelo Ogbonna narrowly escaped death in a car accident that took his car off the bridge.
Only yesterday, the former Inter Milan wonderkid came on as a substitute after 58 minutes in Torino's 1-1 draw against AC Milan, but subbed out after spending only 27 minutes on the pitch.
It wasn't a tactical change by the coach of the Maroons as Obi picked up an injury in the closing minutes of the game at Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino.
