RE: Life is Medicine

in #freewrite7 years ago

Wow, I should have read this sooner: Screaming helps? That's the opposite of Stangler's love of the silent suffering of Native tribes... but I want to steal this too: ***Life is medicine. When I keep this in mind I can shift my perspective from being a victim to being empowered to understand my reflections/experiences and find interpretations for my life that help me to become stronger, more creative, more aware and ultimately happier. *** Actually, I can make a case for screaming - run wild in the mountains and scream to the wind - that's different from being a torture victim screaming to the satisfaction of the torturer. Yes, I can totally see Helga advising Lady Graves to climb those Harz mountains and scream.

Indeed! Cathartic and empowering even in it's agony and unhealthy thought patterns - however it's when we're in such a state that we can rewire the unhealthy thought patterns (judgments against self which become judgments against others) into healthy thought patterns that support our values coming more strongly into being. I'll write a story about my experience in the mountains just the other day. Intense and crucially healing. ☯🐞🐱💛🎄🐳🌌💜🌸☯
