As a kid, we played king of the hill on the mountains of snow at the parking lot behind the school. Now we're all playing king of the bar. Same game, basically. You stand on the bar, but instead of being a kid, you're a drunk. And you try to knock everyone else off the bar. This is a metaphor for life. The king is lonely.

Bar king. Oh. Ha. Woof.

Bark bark barking

King of the bar, barking "there's no point to any of this, we all die alone" before hurling another drunk from the bartop

Bart OP. That's when the Simpson boy posts on Hive, and then we're all like, that's the Bart OP that you commented on.

Bartop isn't a word, but it took the spellcheck a second to realize it. It didn't underline it in red right away. Long enough for me to go, "oh, I guess it is a word."

I have lately been putting off any hard thinking when I'm feeling tired, which is sometimes 95% of the day. Just think for 5% of the day, and rest the mind otherwise, ha.

I do need to think, though, even if it's slow going. I have some mental work to do. That I'd hoped to have done already. But tomorrow morning. Surely I'll be plenty refreshed by then, and I'll be able to work. It was nice going for a walk with my wife on New Year's Eve. We should do that more. I like that. I don't love being so tired, but it was still worth it.
