Sunday Afternoon...

Sunday Afternoon

Me: Yikes. It’s a sunny day and the grass needs cutting. But… It’s Sunday and the sound of the mower would disturb the neighbors.

My mind: But it’s afternoon. They have all gone to church and come home. It’s not like it Sunday morning.

Me: Yeah, I know but still. Sunday is a special day of rest set aside for prayer and association with loved ones. And yet, the weather doesn’t discriminate when to rain and when to shine. And today the sun it out.

My mind: Well, there other things you can do that don’t make noise. Pull weeds, transplant etc. If you’re worried about what the neighbors will think. Ha Ha.

Me: I guess I’ll wait until Monday to make noise.

My mind: Whatever….
