Ready Player.

Why games?
Such a waste of your life, hours on nothing.
nothing.
"You could be mastering so many real world things with the time"
I see the outside view.
Pity the immaturity
Chide the frivolousness.
But
We are just consciousnesses playing in a meat avatar
And this game has too many bugs.
Dead ends and
Bosses with broken mechanics.
I appreciate your concern
But I'm having too much fun to care.
SUCKAHS ;)

@kilbride Weve talked before on posts. this is the first time ive actually seen you, you have a gorgeous smile... the face isnt bad either ;)

Semi conscious meat Puppet here. Hi!
How are you?
How was your Indonesian holiday?
It was nice to see you pop up today. I love this write, sorry I missed it.

I am still in Bali for another two weeks and then maybe pop to Thailand for a bit. Its been really great :) I needed a break from my rut and I've been working on a really fun interesting video game out here, so the focus on something other than what I was focused on has been amazing. Anxiety level has gone so far down and so has my depression. Turns out I probably don't have anything wrong my brain chemistry after all- its just society lol

Mental health is so much more about balance. Many people experience completely appropriate low mood and distress when times are hard. This is different to endogenous depression. Not less, not easier, but less likely an intrinsic illness and more to do with situational factors.
In spite of popular use of serotonin reuptake or other psychotropic hormone based medication treatment I'm yet to find research that proves that it is effective. I've found a lot that says it likely isn't useful.
Whoops, I do that sometimes. I haven't worked in a while but that stuff is still in my brain.

I believe people can be empowered by knowing they can have quite a degree of control over their mental health. Even people who do have an axis 1 diagnosis, decreased stress and increased physical well-being hugely improves their psychological health.

I'm glad you are having a good time. Was truly very nice to see you pop up.

Yes, I know everything you say but sometimes I need to step outside of the noise. Thank you for your sweet words I hope you have had some moments of joy and respite also <3

I say too much, don't listen to the noise I make. I can spout research but seldom leave home.
You my dear are amazing!
Most of what I write is mere projections of my own scenario. Take it with a grain of salt and stay awesome.

Hahah I take everything with a grain of salt. I have never been specifically told I have chemical imbalances but, as you say , whenever there is talk of depression it is always a chemical solution. I said in my article about bell curves/genius/mental illness that I know for a fact that there are some percentage of humans who have physiological imbalances that are not situationally specific per se and we need to be careful when we attack the pharama industry or the popular psychological espousement because these people will get trampled. We just need to be aware individually and as a society that increases in mental illness are probably indicative of something other than a mass devolution to weaker humans haha

"Before you diagnose yourself with depression or low self-esteem, first make sure that you are not, in fact, just surrounded by assholes." haha my favorite <3

"I'm having too much fun to care". Perfect. :)

That's actually true the whole world of gaming is extremely immersive and you would simply have too much fun to care! (I know I do)
I've actually been doing some "historical" gaming posts lately, covering noteworthy games released in certain years (last ones about 98 and 2000) and just remembering all those time spent playing those games even back them gives me the shivers, but at the same time a warm nostalgic feeling, which one of them is more justified though? :)

Sorry I missed your comment, I'm going to check out your blog now!

can't argue about it, both views are true, dilemma of life I guess :)

haha its all about balance isn't it ;)

The games take away many things but also give us a lot. They teach us to be better human beings. But like everything in this life, when they reach excesses they become harmful things.

Everything must be done with measure.

Yes, exactly!
