#DailyFreeWriteChallenge (Day 91 - Earthquake)
the clock is running and im running out of time
the cracks are breaking in the streets
people are running like chickens with their heads cut off
some cars are abandoned on opening fault lines
swallowing metal whole
cliffs divide and tsunamis form on the shore
the rumbling grows louder as the earth splits from itself
tectonic plates crash together like two trains on a collision course of cosmic proportions

I've stopped writing so im just going to continue without thinking
this is harder than it used to be before
i havent written in two weeks
i feel like i've lost my touch
that the freewrite isnt doing what i once thought it was
this used to be a release
right now it feels like a chore
this probably doesn't do much for anybody else
you probably would want some more poetry
im not really sure that this is doing for me right now but im just going to continue to write
im not even hitting the right keys
what am i even saying
im not sure
im never really sure
thoughts crash together like tectonic plates
fires are erupting
this is stupid
im stupid
i cant think of anything compelling
i should have just stuck to the poem but i got off course
i fell off the wagon
im not sure if im going to even post this
i dont really want to
im not happy with this freewite
i should've kept to what i was doing first
maybe i'll delete this
maybe i wont
this is craziness
maddening
lunacy
im off my rocker
im going bonkers
out of my mind
the prompt was earthquake
im not too sure how i ended up here
i got a bit offf track
that happens a lot with me
i lose my focus
i forget about what i'm supposed to be doing and do something else instead
This post is in response to the #dailyfreewritechallenge posted by @mariannewest & @improv. Today's (Day 91) prompt was "Earthquake". If you're curious about the #dailyfreewritechallenge, check out the introduction post here.
