Lupus definitely prevents it's sufferers from participating activities surrounded by sun... in land that has limited summer... I suppose it's not as bad... It would be much harder if you lived in a state like California or Florida, I imagine. All I remember is my mom wearing hats and sleeves after her diagnosis.
