Judge not my sketching by rushing-to-post standards! Heh.

He loved his wife. Truly. Angelia was Martin's match in every way. Almost every way. Can one person truly be another person's everything? He grew up thinking so. And everything they did together proved that to be the case. All the time they spent running together, listening to the same music, laughing at the same stand-up, yelling at the same politicians on-screen. They were two peas in a pod.

But they were kids. And kids grow into themselves. And selves grow into new selves. And eighteen years later, their selves still matched in every way. But one. Her taste in romance had always tended toward the gentle, the tender, the affectionate. His, on the other hand, had drifted toward the more physical. It wasn't that he didn't want to be affectionate with her. He did. They did. But he also wanted her to be brutal with him. And she didn't. And they didn't. And it became clear not only that they couldn't be another person's everything... but they needn't be. Not everyone swings that way. But they did.
