The Monkey Wedding

A monkey wedding is just as it seems,

With banana split cake and mango ice cream.

They sing a song and squeal with delight,

As they swing from the vines and dance through the night.

Away in the jungle away from the cars,

They celebrate their nuptials under the stars.

And after the wedding they all say good bye.

For they won’t see the couple after the electric slide.

They will go by themselves to create a new life.

With lovely days complete without strife.

Because once a monkey marries they mate till they die.

It’s the way of a monkey to live the married life.

For gifts send some fruit or a nice banana bunch,

Because they are not registered for gifts- just for some lunch.

Be sure to send a card with some nice coins to toil,

They are shiny, and monkeys think they are foil.

If ever you want to get married among all the trees.

Be sure to do it like the monkeys do please.

They are the funniest bunch you will ever find.

And if you stay for some cake the monkeys don’t mind.
