My big crystal cluster I found in the Diamond Hill Mine, SC.

in #fridaysrock6 years ago (edited)

While digging in Abbeville I pulled this large crystal out of the side of a dirt wall. I found a cluster of downed trees and went through their roots and found it. I have noticed trees bind to crystals underground and when trees upturn you can get to these crystals. I wonder if the roots and crystals work together in some way.

So far this is the biggest and most amazing cluster I have found yet, hoping if I dig for a few more years ill find another one to beat this one.

The video is my post for #fridayrocks started by @nat-expressions

Yeah sure is, I am really grateful for finding it.

@kiel91

Yeah it sure is a keeper, I have found many small coin sized pieces up to golf ball sized crystals but this one by far is the most massive.

Unfortunately you can't find any crystals here in Germany, but we are looking for fossils on the beach 🌊🗿

@kiel91

Oh gotcha, well your lucky to have beaches. I would have to travel all day to to get one.

That is a splendid find. :-)

@manorvillemike

Thank you, I keep it on my desk to look at all the time.

@snowyknight

Hah yeah been saving it for a few weeks now, glad everyone likes it too.

Hope I find a bigger one yet in the future.

That is a nice piece, beauty!

@photovisions

Appreciated, It looked alot more rough when I first pulled it from the ground but I quickly realized it was a beauty while cleaning it.

Such a beautiful piece! I really like the colors in the crystal. Thank you for joining #fridaysrock. Now I'm curious about the possible relationship between the crystal and the roots of the tree.

@nat-expressions

Thank you, yeah it has little spots all over it but mostly a milky white. And me too, makes me wonder.. hah
