Bonding with School friends

There are many people who come and go from our life, but there are some who stay forever and I have observed around me that these people who stay forever with us are mostly our friends from our school days. Our school days are the best days of our life; there is so much innocence then and we are so carefree. I remember during vacations also my school friends would visit my home and we would spend time together. We would spend overnights also at each other's place.

After the school, we all got on to our different paths, we started getting married and having children and we were still present in each other's celebrations. Not all of them, many drifted apart, but you always have that inner circle. I too had that, and though our lives are all different now in different cities and countries we are still connected with each other. Our children have grown up, and it's time for their weddings and we are all part of that as well.

It's such a beautiful bonding to stay connected with some of your friends for that long. You kind of start knowing them inside out. It is not easy to stay connected, as life moves on and we keep meeting new people it is easy to drift apart, but it's the bond that we have created that brings us back together. We have school reunions and we talk about all those naughty moments, bunking school, all those love stories that never shaped up, the mischiefs we would make with our teachers. All of these are beautiful memories and all it brings is cheer and laughter when we talk about them.

I was studying away from home in a boarding school and all I had was my friends around me, I remember my non-border friends, their parents also would take care of me. I would go to their home for studying and they would pamper me just like their own child. Now also when I catch up with my friends and their parents, I am grateful to them for looking after me so well. It's a deep bond that I have developed with some of them and I know that it is going to last for life.

We have reached a stage where it is never complete without each other.
