Soursop Fruit
It's ugly, but it tastes amazing, and has awesome benefits!
I'm talking about the Soursop fruit. Sold locally in high-end grocery stores, famers markets, and specialty gourmet fruit stores, this is an exotic treat for the tongue.
What is it? It's an ugly green fruit that looks a bit like a spiky avocado. When fully ripe, the fruit has a delightful, sweet aroma. Cut into it and you'll see seeds arranged around the center. Similar to an apple's seeds. Dig into the fruit's pulp with a spoon, but don't eat the seeds.
The fruit is sweet, with notes of citrus. The pulp, when fully ripe, soft and juicy. While different from any other fruit I've ever eaten, if pressed for a similarity, I'd have to go with pineapple.
