melon
Melon (Cucumis melo L.) is the name of the fruit as well as the plants that produce it, which is included in the tribe of the labu-Labuan or Cucurbitaceae. The fruit is usually eaten fresh as a fruit table or sliced as a mixture of fruit ice. The part that is eaten is the meat of the fruit (mesokarp). The texture is soft, white to red, depending on the cultivars.
Seasonal plants, creeping but creeping, not climbing. Leaf-shaped leaves with a moderate curve so like angular circle. The trunk is usually not woody.
This plant has one flower with two types of flowers: male flowers and hermaphrodites. Male flowers appear usually when the plants are young or when the growth is less good.
Pepo berriespe. The mesokarp part thickens into a watery fruit flesh. glorification is directed at thick, sweet flesh, and if possible, fragrant flesh.
Melon is very diverse, especially seen from the shape of the fruit. There are two subspecies and ten [1] cultivar groups in this species:
Subspecies melo
1.Muskmelon (Reticulatus)
2. Cantaloupe (Cantalupensis)
3.Casaba (Inodorus)
4.Pocketmelon (Dudaim)
5.Snakemelon (Flexuosus)
6. Chate (Adzhur)
7.Tibish
Subspecies of agrestis
1. Snapmelon (Momordica, Adiculus)
2. Oriental pickling (Conomon)
3. Makuwa
The three most popular are Cantalupensis (in it includes cantaloupe, true European cantaloupe), Reticulatus (commonly known melon, fruit peel usually "mesh"), and Inodorus (melon 'Honeydew', which is oval with wrinkled skin). There is another group whose fruits are also eaten
