WEEK 12 MATHCHUPS PICL EMS_FANTASY ADVICE_ GAME SUMMARIES_RECAP OF THANKSGIVING

THANKSGIVING DAY RECAP:

Were back for the latter half of the week after a very disappointing day of Feast Week Matchups. The Vikings as I thought came out of the gate early, and never really allowed Stafford to get going. Meanwhile, Case Keenum continues to show how great of position Minnesota is moving forward. Insert Browns joke here…. maybe they should get one of the Vikings QB1’s. Moving on, Dak didn’t impress or come back like I predicted. However, this is all on the offensive play calling. You go from feeding Zeke alone 25-30 times a week, to a measly 18 between two backs. Rod Smith and Morris average 4.3 yards per carry, so why couldn’t they move the offense? On the other side of things, do the Chargers look good or what!! Keenan Allen is beyond great and boy there pass defense is something you may want to consider when playing. If they could find someone to kick the damn ball, they would be even scarier (chuckle). But seriously, did you see their punter completely miss the net? LOL. Last but not least, the Giants still look like shit. Kirk Cousins roasted some chestnuts on an open fire for sure, tossing for 24 2 yards and a couple TDs. How you like that? Honestly, I don’t think these Giants give a shit. I try not to be hard on them, but who the hell is even angry? See the mentality of the organization and team, it’s pretty clear Coughlin’s influence is missing. All right enough shit talking, let’s get into the rest of the matchups for the week.

Browns VS. Bengals

I really hate to cover this game but I do them all. Browns on the road at Bengals, doesn’t give any more enthusiasm that the browns might win. The Bengals need to win to stay afloat in the close wild card picture. That’s exactly what happens. Do I need to go any further?

The Chosen Ones:

Andy Dalton: He should have a great day. As anyone who is up against a team that will eventually wear out on defense by the second half. Start Him.

Joe Mixon: I honestly liked him coming out into the NFL but he has done nothing to impress. The Bengals don’t have a great offensive line, and they face the 6th best rushing defense. Not a fantasy option

Duke Johnson: Cincinnati comes in at a terrible 24th in the NFL on rushing defense. The Browns say they want to get Johnson involved in any way possible. I expect screen passes and some good runs. Definite flex position start or RB2 if you don’t have much more.

A.J Green: Even with a pretty solid secondary that ranks 12th in the league. I cant imagine Green not having a good day.

Tyler Croft: Of course, I’m covering more Bengals, when you play the Browns. If the secondary does a good job on Green throughout the day expect big numbers from Croft and even a few nice catches from Lafell.

Panthers VS. Jets

Naturally we know who wins in this one. Cam Newton the past few weeks has looked phenomenal, this week it does not change while he gains his security blanket back in Greg Olsen. The Jets possibly get some fire power in Forte back this week, but they just don’t have enough even with his return. Sorry McCown, no tricks this week.

The Chosen Ones:

Cam Newton: He’s been torching opponents the last few weeks by air and ground. That continues this week against a non-exciting Jets team. Start Him.

Greg Olsen: Normally I am a little iffy on starting guys right off an injury, but this is Greg Olsen. Security blanket returned, he’s angry THE U lost this weekend, he’ll be back involved into offense immediately.

Jets RBS: Number two rush defense in the league this week and Luke Kuechly, enough said.

Robbie Anderson: Cpt. Munnerlyn is out today, taking some depth away from the secondary. Anderson could have a nice day, as he has done the most with his targets in the last two weeks.

Austin S.J: Damn his last name is long. He continues to be one of McCowns favorite targets, have to start him every week just based on workload.

Bucs VS. Falcons

Tricky matchup this week in ATL, as the Bucs come into town. Honestly, they look much more efficient under Fitzpatrick then they did with Winston. Only way the Bucs pull this off, is a balanced attack. ATL allowing 115 rush yards per game, Doug Martin will have to get the engine going. Im not sold on him, or the journeyman QB. Make sure to watch Matty ICE toss some deep bombs to Julio.

The Chosen Ones:

Matt Ryan: Coming against the 24th ranked passing defense in the league, expect him to sling it, must start this week.

Julio Jones: Jones didn’t put up a touchdown last week but did secure 5 for 71yds. If the Falcons can get a balanced attack, expect Julio to go nuts.

Terron Ward: Sorry no love for Coleman after last week. I speak to effectiveness, not practicality. He averaged 5 yards per carry while Coleman ran for just about 2 per carry.

Buccaneers WRs: I hate putting a whole category in here, but Fitzpatrick has shown no love for a specific WR over his last two starts. Start Mike Evans sure, but against a 7th ranked secondary, Bucs will have to run to be effective in pass game.

Doug Martin: If they want to win, you can’t put it all on Fitzpatrick’s shoulders too often. Falcons defense gives up 4.5 yards a carry. Hope he is able to prove his contract this week, RB2 for me.

TITANS VS. COLTS

Wow. I actually just compared stats between Mariota and Brissett, quite interesting if you ask me. Unfortunately for the Colts they just aren’t the Titans. I expect the Colts defense to get torched by anyone who can catch.

The Chosen Ones:

Marcus Mariota: Against a shaky pass defense, expect Mariota to throw two TDs today. The Titans should have no issues moving the ball through the air.

Corey Davis: This will be another chance for us to see what Davis is about. He had 12 targets in week one. Now that Matthews it out watch Davis to step up this week.

T.Y Hilton: Going up against a team who allowed Antonio Brown to feast, expect T.Y to get more than a couple big plays down the field, especially if they get down early.

Tennesse RB’s: Nightmare alert! Murray has been playing injured all year, and Henry hasn’t exactly had a chance to shine. Truly, what the hell can I suggest?

Bills VS. Kansas City

Well this is just interesting isn’t it. You would have thought I was going to predict a slaughter by the Chiefs. I expect this to be close, but I’m taking the “UPSET” in the Bills. Huge fan of Tyrod, and with his favorite target back in the mix.

The Chosen Ones:

Alex Smith: He’s not a fantasy option for QB, you think he goes off, run to computer and bam, underwhelmed.

Travis Kelce: Even if the team looks horrible, Kelce still catches the ball a lottt. Last week in fantasy you would’ve thought the Chiefs won based on Kelce’s numbers.

Kareem Hunt: You will start him anyways. Why give my doubter opinion?

Tyrod Taylor: I must be the only one who loves this guy. He tosses a couple TDs’ and pulls off a huge win on the road. He gets Thompson, Clay, and Matthews back.

Zay Jones: For some odd reason, I just don’t even care that Matthews is in the lineup. More reliable, and he plays big. Nothing more than a flex, but I love his upside.

Lesean McCoy: Shady Shady should roll today against a terrible ranked 29th rushing defense in the league. Unless he has a broken leg, he’s an RB1.

Fins VS. Patriots

So, guys, who’s excited for this matchup? I can’t see Matt Moore winning on the road in New England. Tom Brady is and always will be the GOAT. The only thing Miami is better at than New England is defending the pass. Ouch. Moore puts up inflated numbers and it’s an old-fashioned beat down by Mr. Brady and Co.

The Chosen Ones:
Tom Brady: Against a team who has not won in 4 straight games and gave up 35.5 points a game during that stretch. Tom Brady going to eat today. (But remember anti-inflammatory)

Brandin Cooks: The Burner, if Belichick says he’s a hard worker I believe him. It shows, strong WR1 this week.

Dolphins WR: Here I go again lumping people into a group. Am I lazy? No. I honestly just expect Moore to throw the ball. They will be coming from behind and against one of the league’s worst secondary’s, this WR corps might go off.

Bears VS Eagles

A home game for the Eagles against the Bears, where Alshon will go up against his former team. I can’t see Trubisky having a great day against the number 6th ranked defense in the NFL. On the other side, Carson should have another great outing regardless of how good the pass defense is for the Bears.
The Chosen Ones:

Carson Wentz: At this point because of the way he has been playing. At home, he is an absolute start.

Alshon Jeffrey: Against his former team, he’s hungry to show just how glad he is to be on the opposite sideline.

Jordan Howard: Someone on their team needs fantasy value and Alfred Morris did break off a few good runs against the Eagles last week.

Saints VS Rams

Very intriguing matchup, and only late afternoon game I’m covering, why? Cause the others are pretty bad. This will be a great matchup, two high scoring offensives and lockdown defenses. Well for the most part. I have to take the Saints this week in tough matchup on the road.

The Chosen Ones:

Drew Brees: Yes, the Rams have a great pass defense. Wait why don’t you ask Case Keenum who carved them up. I suggest starting Brees, a veteran that rarely disappoints.

Mark Ingram: If there is anyone who can take Brees out of the spotlight its Ingram. Only rushing the ball 11 times last week he managed 134 yards. Against the 26th ranked runs defense. Ingram should have a nice day.

Todd Gurley: Today the pace of the offense is all on Gurley. Against a stingy secondary expect the Rams to open up the defense first with their workhorse.

Packers VS Steelers

I expect this to be as exciting as the Ravens V Packers matchup. A whole lot of turnovers and a bunch of points scored off of them. Steel City brings a stronger offense and they have looked good over the last 5, winning them all.

Big Ben: You have to give him the nod this week against a team in total disarray without Rodgers.

Antonio Brown: Well this is obvious.

Texans VS Ravens

We’re not going to cover the Texans in this, sorry. This is a huge week for Flacco and the Ravens. They need to keep pace in the AFC wild card and prove they are stronger then they have looked. Joe look okay last week in Green Bay, but he has much more favorable matchup at home against a falling Texans team. Flacco and Co. will win, I just want to see it be easy. Find a rhythm on offense.

The Chosen Ones:

Joe Flacco: Going up against an awful secondary that allowed Gabbert to throw 3 TDS, no brainer, sleeper start this week.

Mike Wallace: Big play threat, really only WR Joe can count on to make plays, he’s a great start this week.

Danny Woodhead: He’s back fully healthy, expect the Texans to send pressure to get to Joe. I expect the Ravens to use Woodhead on screens early and often. Sleep flex start.
