Pro Futsal Preview - Canning Ultra Tigers vs Cockburn EWA
After scraping a point ast week in a thrilling 3-3 draw with Fremantle Futsal Club, the Canning Ultra Tigers will be buoyed with the hope that their slow start to the season is now over.
After losing their opening games 4-2 to Claremont Cambio Cumbre and then going down newly "promoted" South Perth 5-3, their first points of the season couldn't come quick enough.
Cockburn EWA have been the revelation of the season so far, going undefeated in their opening 3 games, with wins against Spearwood, South Perth and most recently Cumbre.
The young guns of the SFL featuring closet bad boy Alek Kukic and the retro bandana wearing Mark Gavranic have fared well against the best of what's left in the SFL after Championship sides pilfered a fair chunk of talent.
With a fast running game and aggressive futsal style Cockburn have figured prominently in the transfer window since being promoted to the SFL just two seasons ago.
While the Tigers have started the season poorly with just one point in three SFL games, they performed admirably against the back to back SFL Champions in Fremantle last week, and expect them to cause Cockburn some headaches. Too tight to call, but a genuine chance is there for the Tigers.
