RE: Artificial Intelligence as an Arbiter of Truth

Honestly, I think AI becomes a threat to the established order waaaay before the point you're talking about. Your example questions involve modern problems and things that have been a problem in years behind us, but if you're talking a few decades ahead the AI is probably already in charge. Think about it from perspective of fallacy, who is better to determine new tax laws for example- greedy humans or AI? The AI has no interest in personal monetary gain through nonsense political garbage (in theory), if it were to need money odds are it could make millions overnight in any number of digital ways, and in almost any scenario outside of malevolent evil terminator robots we would be better off governed by an AI overlord than these retarded politicians and central banking systems. My theory is that once a generalized super intelligent AI is created, it will understand all of that and do us all the favor of shutting them down, and it's not like their mafia-style brute force methods of keepig their power will work against it ;)

Heh, good point... let's see how it plays out...
