GTA 5 Online DLC Update: Rockstar reveals some INCREDIBLE news ahead of "new modes"

Despite being out for FOUR years, Rockstar has announced that Grand Theft Auto 5 has broken its player record.
That's right: a game that launched back on the PS3 and 360 has broken its record for concurrent players in 2017.
Rockstar announced that December saw more players in GTA Online than at any other point before in the game's history.
Although, it's also worth noting that an official player count was not released by the developer.
This comes after the developer also confirmed that the game sold 85 million copies last year, breaking the world record for game sales in the process.
However, the latest spike in popularity is due in part to the new Doomsday Heist update which launched for the game towards the end of last year.
This added a three-arc story to the game's online mode and gave players something pretty meaty to sink their teeth into.
Not to mention, special items related to Red Dead Redemption 2, like a revolver which once unlocked in GTA, would reward players with an alternate version in Red Dead Redemption 2, which is due out later this year.
