[REVIEW] OF SKYRIM
Skyrim is an open-world action role-playing video game developed by Bethesda Game Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks. It is the fifth installment of action and fantasy video games from the series The Elder Scrolls.
//Release date//
Skyrim went on sale on November 11, 2011, for platforms: Microsoft Windows, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
//History//
The story of Skyrim focuses on the character's efforts, dovahkiin, to defeat Alduin, a dragon / dovah that, according to prophecy, will destroy the world. The plot is dated two hundred years after the events of Oblivion and takes place in the fictional province of Skyrim. In the course of the game, the player completes missions and evolves his character thanks to the improvement of his abilities. Unlike the previous games of Elder Scrolls, Skyrim does not require the user to select a character type at the beginning of the game, thus solving the problem that the team of developers saw from previous versions: the need to force the user to a rigid style of play. Skyrim continues the open-world tradition by allowing the player to travel anywhere on the game map at any time and indefinitely postpone or omit partially or totally the main story.
// Gameplay //
For anyone who does not know the series, it can overwhelm the size of Skyrim, conveniently reduced compared to Dagerfall, which was the size of England. Missions count for hundreds, hours of talk and discoveries too. Under a principal perspective in the first person we will travel a vast frozen world with total freedom. And when we say total freedom is total freedom. Here you can not find the typical "good and bad" markers of corseted role-playing games. Each one builds his own life, his own destiny, and if he wants to be evil for it, he will be, with the only logical barriers of the Nordic law. This freedom of action is what gives Skyrim meaning. We can access from the first minute to the main missions and finish the game in 30 hours quietly, but we can also get lost in the culture of the Highlands consciously, and that will be when we are definitely captivated by the video game.
