Ancestor of the modern bingo is considered the Italian Lo Giuoco del Lotto D’Italia. The first mention of it dates as far as 1530💤

The players received cards on which they marked the dropped out numbers with beans and when the winner collected the required number of points, he shouted: "Bean go!"💥 This is where the name of the game "bingo" came from.

Businessman Edwin Lowe decided to create his own game, based on the old rules, but changing them slightly. He ordered 6,000 unique cards from the mathematics professor and began selling the game in New York. As a result, bingo became very popular among Americans and spread to other countries.

It is often played in churches⛪️, and the funds raised are sent to charity.

"Bingo" has similarities with the Russian lotto, only the cards are smaller + letters are added, but the principles of the game and the rules are almost the same.

There are several types of "bingo", the main difference is in the rules:

1️⃣➖ One is a 5x5 grid meant for 75-ball Bingo, which is largely played in the U.S.
2️⃣➖ The other uses 90-ball Bingo (UK version)

It is similar to the Russian lotto, the only difference is that in the Russian game they use a bag with barrels, and in bingo 90 - a lottery drum with balls. According to the rules of the bingo-90 numbers from 1 to 90 are used.
