As you can see in the video above, this multiplayer works very well so far. Not perfect, but it is much more advanced than previous multiplayer mods created for this game.
Many will wonder why. Well, it's mainly because you no longer have to share the screen. The previous multiplayer mods for this game worked like Super Mario 3D World. As you know, in this game of Wii U players share the screen and when one separates from the rest the camera moves away.
In this mod, each player has their own screen view. So instead of getting together to keep the camera away, players can explore different parts of the level with no problem.
Its author states that things can improve even more in the future. Kaze is also considering expanding this mode significantly, for example, by allowing 8 players to play Super Mario 64 at the same time. It would certainly be great to see 8 players cooperating in this title. Along with this he has also shared that he plans to introduce models of different characters so that there are more playable characters besides Mario.
No doubt his plans sound promising. We will be attentive to more details in the future; In the meantime, what do you think of this project?
Sounds like a great Mario party.
