This Holiday, the epic games platform is giving a new game for free each day, for a limited set of days. Yesterday one of the games given out for free was Ghostrunner 2, as soon as I found out I claimed and and started downloading it. I've played the first game a couple of years ago, it was hard as f**k, so I took the second one as a challenge. Judging by how the first 2 missions went it's gonna be a hard time.

The game feels harder, the movement difficulty is increased, I've died plenty of times during the first mission and way more during the second one which had a "boss" like encounter. I can see myself raging and smashing the keyboard a couple of time at least if I will try to finish the game. I need to try the gamepad once that should be even harder if the game doesn't feature some sort of assist for controllers.

I have recorded how the action took place, you can watch the first 2 mission on Youtube Channel down below:

Now let me show you some aspects of the game, how the movement feels like and how difficult it is because this is the main aspect of the game.

You have the basic movement of most games W,A,S,D and Space for jumping, but this gets combined a dash using Shift key and other movements based on objects.

You can walk on the walls, and jump from one another to avoid enemies, like this:

Or even further, from the walls you jump on a broken drone that falls with your weight:

Jumping from metro rails left and right to avoid the objects.

And that wasn't enough and hard already, they introduced the grappling hook which seems easy at first but in combos later on it's a pain in the ass to watch where you can hook it.

Now with many attempts and deaths I finished the first level just to encounter a boss (or mini-boss, no idea until I find the next one) that killed me so many times.

With the boss I've tried different strategies, from keeping the distance and waiting for an opportunity to strike to getting close and trying to move behind him, in the end pushing like a retard is the option that worked :))

Forgot to mention that there was an NPC that helped me after half the battle, he was flying around allowing me to grapple to him when needed and every now and then he stunned the boss.

The full fight can be watched on the Youtube link mentioned at the start of the post, I am not going to post GIFs as it's pretty much a death every 10 seconds.

The game is pretty fun I really recommend you try it, also check Epicgames for new free games these days, maybe they will drop out something you might enjoy.

Until next episode, I am wishing you a great day!

Thanks for leveling up with me! 🎮
