Most Under-Rated PS2 Games (PT.1)

The Playstation 2, currently known for having the largest library of quality games on a single console, due to the sheer scale of great games, makes it easy to be overwhelmed and miss a few worthy gems along the way. Not all Ps2 games have aged well, but the games in this list are very easily playable in the current gaming climate. These games may have gone under the radar in their day, but they have held their footing and dug themselves deeply into my heart.

Fight your way through enemies to your high-school crushes heart using a instrument called a "Gitar" given to you by your robot dog. When equiped, you transform into the hero "Gitaroo-Man" and with your soul-crushing guitar licks, you save your anime-style home attacks of mythical proportions.

A combination of Guitar-Hero and DJ Hero, but it came out many years before those games, and interestingly it is made by Harmonix who eventually made those games. This was the first game of its kind, rivaling even DDR.

As a garden-variety mosquito, your tasked with collecting blood from the unsuspecting victims you've been trapped with. Stealth is a huge factor, and if your spotted your swatted. Landing on a humans arm can be as difficult as landing a plane, expect a bigger challenge then the screenshot implies.

Based on the original DOS Monkey Island Series, you start as Guybrush Threepwood. Your goal, prove that you are as mighty of a pirate as you claim. Save your wife from a Pirate demon using comedic wit and obscure pop-culture references and spelling errors. Easily the best point-and-click to date, especially for a console.

Prove to your girlfriend that you aren't a baby the only way you know how, Hip-hop. Start as a burgerboy and make your way through adulthood with slick slips of the tongue strategically timed to the mapping of your thumbs reflexes. The soundtrack alone is worth the trip, it'll get stuck in your head guaranteed.

There are still countless ps2 titles I'd love to share that I know went under your radar, but for now I will keep the list bite-sized for easy consumption. I tend to agree that PS2 had the most good games Per-Capita compared to any other console. It may not have "THE" best game, but it has the most good games.
