What you said about it being obvious the devs have never been to the state they were asked to build a virtual game setting was really telling. It's hard to find good forest games because devs "usually" don't like those things, unlike cities where GTA like games have dome really well.
It's funny you mention that, because the forests in far cry 5 look like the Montana forests that you would find in the southeast part of Glacier National Park.
Ah interesting, good looking out for that. The game devs probably took a vacation there for a week and thought they had it figured out. I hope in future generations people that like the wilderness will code as good as the common gamedev that is usually a city dweller. Still looks like a fun game, I plan on playing.
