I would only suggest to maybe make the player icons a little more clear, perhaps a little bigger or a different color? Maybe assign colors instead of numbers next time?

Are you using a small screen to play the game? I found that the board background was way too busy to see the icons at smaller resolutions, so I faded the board by 50% before saving it as a template for future games. Now I am able to see the numbers clearly even when the entire board is within the viewing area of my 19 inch screen. If it is still a problem, I may need to increase the size of the player markers by 50%.
No i am using a widescreen monitor (and another next to it!) so that's not the issue. I think it's mostly (for me) that the tiles are white-ish and so are the icons. While the tiles are mixed with gray the icons are mixed with black. It's different but relatively close to eachother. It's no big deal,once I found my icon I know where it is
Larger player icons seem to be asked for (2 people now).
