If People Are Interested, I'm Up for Streaming a "One Hit KO" Run of Mega Man X1 on dLive (Details in Post)

in #gaming7 years ago (edited)

With the use of the Mega Man X Randomizer program, I created a rom where I only have so much HP that one hit from a single enemy will kill me.

It was to help me practice my no damage stuff, but it also gave me an idea for a stream. So, let me know if you're interested in watching a complete playthrough of "One Hit KO" Mega Man X:

  • One hit from an enemy will kill me
  • X-Buster Only
  • I have infinite lives, so you don't need to watch me grind the same levels over and over, as I start from the checkpoints after deaths, instead
  • No giving up until the game is beaten

I'd be up for doing it tomorrow or the day after. Lemme know.

I'm too busy to watch streams since I stream all day myself so I prob can't really tune in unless it was at a super convenient time. That said, do it anyway.

Great post! I just followed and upvoted you! Follow me back @relsserd.

Interesting premise. Stream it, record it, and upload it later as a behind the speed run documentary! :P

Haha. :D
Double the rewards through spam! That's the Steemit way.

Its not spam unless it has a million bid bot votes on it, too.

I personally suck at platform games. I see them as an exquisite form of torture for those who have a lack of timing (me), and think anyone who plays them (and like you, again and again and again) - to be among the bravest that our planet has to offer.

My personal belief is they shouldn't exist as a genre. :D

Haha. They're my favorite genre. But I'm also a bad person, so maybe there's a connection.

Though, to be honest, I'm not much of a gamer. Not these days anyway. I like the Mega Man games. And a few others. But I don't follow new games at all. Not at all.

I'm (somewhat painfully) playing through my collection of Steam PC games A-Z, before I buy any more games on PC. I've been going at this for a few months now - I'm still at B.

I'm not torturing myself by persisting with the most terrible ones, but it is an interesting exercise to see what works on a modern operating system and how impatient I've become for "gimmicks" as a gamer.

I used to review video games professionally once upon a time. For a long time, that drained the fun out of it entirely.

Now, there's a bit of a glimmer of fun in it. As I get older, there seems to be less and less fun in all things, though!

You're doing it wrong. The idea is to give yourself so much hp that you can fart and wipe out all the enemies.

That doesn't seem like fun.

I'm interested if I'm going to hear your voice or see your face !

Now he'll definitely wear a mask. A wrestler mask probably. With oil nearby.

If you promise to sing while playing it, I'll watch it.
