My last couple of weeks and a small game review!
Hello everybody
It's been a while since my last post here on Steemit and the more days that have passed, the harder it has felt to make a post that I found good enough. In the morning I woke up to snow everywhere outside and had to spend my morning searching for my winter clothes and shoes. The snow kind of made me think that now it's been far too long since my last post and I had to do something about it.
Now I have a lot of work to do in school and have been trying to get everything ready so that I can relax and focus on personal things afterwards. One of the projects is supposed to be finished in a couple of weeks so I’m working on that one now. I have had a hard time figuring out what to do for the project and I’m still kind of unsure, so I’ve just been learning more coding until I come up with something great. If anyone here happens to have an idea for something that isn’t too complicated then please comment below!
I was very excited to go to Steemfest this year but sadly I had a small incident about two weeks ago where I had a non-epileptic seizure in class. It was the first one I’ve ever had and it was a really weird experience even though I can’t remember most of it. I’ve been trying to take it a little easier these past weeks and rest. During that time I decided I wouldn’t go this year since I have some appointments to do some tests and I kept thinking “what if it would happen while I’m there”. I hope everyone who is attending has a good time there and I’m looking forward to seeing pictures and videos from the event.
I am planning to purchase a new game this weekend and I will be making a review of it during the weekend. Just haven’t decided on the game yet. I have also been checking out some cameras and other equipment to finally get a stream up and running.
I do however have one game that I wanted to talk about. The game is called “Deceit” and I’ve been playing it more and more lately. It was released on the 3rd of March this year so it’s not really new but their player count has grown a lot during that time and it's now the 8th most played game in Steam's list of "free to play" games.
The game itself is Horror/Action and it's first person which I really prefer. You start out playing as one of the 6 different characters that all wake up in a weird place after they've been kidnapped. Two of the six players have been infected with a virus and they have to try to keep this a secret from the remaining players. You have to talk using your microphone to the other players and either team up or go alone.
There are a few things that can give you away when you're infected but these are all things you have to do yourself so just being really careful gets you a long way. If you are one of the "infected" players, you have a secret power that can only be used during the so called "night time" which is a period of time in the game where all lights are turned off and the infected players can use their secret power to transform into monsters. During the night time you can't see anybody's name either so after it's over you still won't have any idea who the monster is. The monsters can kill the players pretty fast but the "non-infected" players also have different weapons and equipment to fight against the monsters. The night-time is usually short and after it's over everything goes back to normal again and you move on in the map and round. That is if the monsters haven't gotten everyone already.
I'm only at level five but I really like how you have to communicate and try to figure out who the "infected" is and then if you're the "infected" one it's a lot of fun to try to keep it a secret as well.
The game does not however have a tutorial like most games do. Instead the developers made a tutorial video that explains the game play. I wanted to share it with you in case someone is interested.
I checked out the minimum requirements for the game and you don't need to have an "insane gaming rig" to play this game and as I mentioned earlier it's also free to play so you can grab your copy from the Steam Store anytime.
- OS: Windows 7 (64 bit)

Overall, the gameplay involves the frenzy of fast paced combat mixed with strategic map positioning, and of course the psychological aspects of determining who is infected.
Feels really good to be back and posting again even though I have been voting and reading posts during the time I've not been posting. So I never really "left". Really excited to read the comments and hear your thoughts. And of course I will be back here during the weekend with more.
Have a great weekend everyone and take care. 😊
Peace out, Strawhat
Nice post!
Glad to see you posting! :)
Thanks man :)
Nice Post
Is there an Android version @strawhat?
Unfortunately I don't think so :/
Upvoted and RESTEEMED :)
Thanks I'm glad you liked it
Hey @Strawhat nice to meet you. Sorry to hear about your seizure and I hope you will feel better soon. Welcome back to Steemit and I look forward to seeing more of your posts!
Thanks :) nice to meet you too!
Mugiwara Luffy!
Great that you found a horror game that suits your taste - and one that doesn't require a dedicated gaming set up @strawhat
Thank you :) yeah I like it
Hey @strawhat! I recognize that feeling that it gets harder to write a post when you haven't written one in a while. It's been over 20 days since my last post, and I have plenty of things to write about but I just can seem to find the time or motivation to write right now... I have so much in school and weekends I usually spend exploring so there's not much time over for writing posts.
I'm sorry about the seizure, I hope you find the reason for it and that it's nothing serious. To bad that you can't go to steemfest, but it's probably a good decision to stay home and rest for a while until you know more! Take care of yourself 🙂
The game sounds really cool and kind of scary... I like the psychological aspect of actually trying to hide the fact that you're infected or trying to figure out who is, it sounds like it makes the game really exciting and interesting!
Hey @mialinnea! Yeah exactly. Glad I'm not the only one with that problem😁 I can imagine that there's a lot to do over there. I hope everything's going great with school and everything!
Thanks! I hope so too. Yeah it kinda sucks that I can't go but I think I made the right decision.
The game is really cool in that way. The main reason I like it so much is because sometimes you get a really cool group that takes it seriously and it's just really fun and sometimes hard to try and figure people out.
Thanks for taking the time to check out my post! Take care of yourself and hope to see you posting again soon 😊
i will always support you man!!!
Thanks man! :) I appreciate it
Hey @strawhat! It seems that we work on similar kind of stuff. It will be really easy for me as a new steemian if we help each other!
Sure man! I followed you so let's see :)
Thanks for sharing about it and its good to see you back :D
Thank you :) glad to be back!
:D
