Hello Steemian !! Good evening Steemian wherever you are Happy Activities Steemian for you who are being. May we all always be healthy and always in the unity of God Almighty. Rejoining @teguhrianto, in this case I am again going to share a beautiful game that makes the world seem impressed while playing. Have you listened to my post reviews in previous posts? Interesting right? I will give you the best reviews and good and unique information for my steemian friends, hopefully I can give you a little information about this game for all my friends, the game that I will give is Nusakana. Is one of the original game made in Indonesia. Ltd Want to know what is interesting about this game let's see what game is this and what experience is given?

You who diligently follow the news of the homeland game industry may have heard about the work of a nation boy called Nusaka. The RPG was compared to Harvest Moon because it carries the theme of daily life of fishermen in rural areas. Nusaka is also unique because it has a nuance bossa nova soundtrack, music genre that is not much found in video games. Nusaka has been released via Steam at the end of 2015 and is getting a pretty positive response. The solid content offers more than forty hours of playtime, while the freedom of exploration to be the advantage that many players love. But did you know that this big game was made by only two people? The creators behind Nusaka are the duets who call themselves Studio Namaapa. The company consists of Rizki (aka Numfank Lewhat) who acts as a designer and illustrator, as well as Jason Vendy (aka wltr3565) as a programmer. Check out the story of their journey below.

A seriously tipping parody

When the Indonesian gaming studio generally originated from college friends, Studio Namaapa actually formed by two people who initially had never met directly. Rizki and Jason got acquainted in 2012 through an RPG Maker forum, and at first their relationship was just a chat buddy in the forum. At that time Jason was still in high school, while Rizki was working on his college thesis on the faculty of economics. "Do not think of making a studio, first just just the jokes. Even Nusaka originally from the joke in chat, "Rizki story. The original idea of Nusaka comes from his second joke about PS Vita game titled Let's Fish! Hooked On. The game is quite intriguing because themed fishing but has a main character in the form of anime-style little girl. From the conversation came the strange concepts, ranging from game fish livestock, tournaments a la Monster Rancher, and others. Over time, their game development becomes more serious.

The concept also turned into a combination of ideas from Suikoden and Digimon World like Nusaka today. "Want to enter content 18+, but think of the mediocre first," Rizki joked. Jason and Rizki live in different cities (Jakarta and Bekasi), so they rarely meet. During the two years of Nusaka development, all of their work is done online. They just face to face when Nusaka is almost released. Until now, Studio Namaapa does not have a permanent office, but has a legal company status in the form of CV.

An ambitious prime project

As the first project, Rizki and Jason admit that Nusaka is actually too ambitious. In addition to the content of many stories, Nusaka also has a different gameplay than ordinary RPG. This makes the development process so long and less focused. When released, some players were surprised because this game was not like casual RPG in general. Coupled with the many bugs and poor English grammar quality, Nusaka was hit by a negative review in the beginning of the release.

Reputation RPG Maker is still often overlooked by gamers are also not helpful. But according to Jason himself, the selection of the engine is right. "RPG Maker is easy to use anyway. Seeing again, wearing RPG Maker to make Nusaka already relatively wise considering the story that membeludak. If it were not for RPG Maker, Numfank (Rizki) would not be able to directly match the story content, "he said.

Despite the ease of entering content, RPG Maker also has its troublesome limitations. Among them is the difficulty to install the common features of Steam, such as Achievement, Steam Overlay, and so forth. The visual side is also less than optimal, especially Jason and Rizki had wrong in planning the screen resolution. "RPG Maker can be HD, but Nusaka already implemented far to think that this game has a small resolution," said Jason. It is difficult to change the resolution in the middle of development, so they decided to release Nusaka with visual appearance as it is.

"The developer's happiness is not how many games they sold, but from the smiles of the players who enjoy their games."

Despite all the flaws, Rizki and Jason remain proud of Nusaka. Game style that they stretcher is quite unique, and this game holds the Indonesian game record with the number of female main character and ending most. Studio Namaapa often receive messages or emails from players that contain personal compliments or thanks. A fan even claimed happy because Nusaka managed to entertain himself while being hospitalized at the hospital. Nonmaterial things like that is a separate achievement for a game developer. As Rizki says, "The developers happiness is not how many games they sold, but from the smiles of the players who enjoy their games." To fellow developers in the homeland, Jason and Rizki advised to give priority to performance for the convenience of the players. Try to keep the game running 60 fps regardless of the platform. In addition, they argue that making games just to follow the trend is not good. "Make a game that we really like to play, not for the money alone," Rizki said.

Time to leave RPG Maker

After Nusaka, Studio Namaapa still continue to work. They are now developing a new game titled Ciel Fledge. Different from Nusaka, Ciel Fledge brings the simulated raising sim genre of the Princess Maker series. The engine used is different, not RPG Maker anymore, but switch to GameMaker. The decision to move engine hijrah was taken because Rizki and Jason felt that RPG Maker had too many shortcomings. The latest version of RPG Maker MV is even more severe. If all this RPG Maker using Ruby programming language, RPG Maker MV just switch to JavaScript and HTML5. This does facilitate development for novice developers, but makes integration to Steam even harder.

Unfortunately Studio Namaapa still can not promise the exact release schedule for Ciel Fledge. Jason said, "Since this game is bongsor again, preparation for the release of this game we also estimate will be long." Development of Ciel Fledge has been running since 2016, but the new possibility will be completed between late 2017 until mid 2018. In addition to Ciel Fledge actually there are some other projects that are being done by Studio Namaapa. But for now they still do not want to announce it officially. How about the next action of Studio Namaapa in Indonesian game industry, we wait and see later.

Conclusion

Nusaka has been released via Steam at the end of 2015 and is getting a pretty positive response. The solid content offers more than forty hours of playtime, while the freedom of exploration is a favorite of many players. But did you know that this big game was made by only two people?
