Pokemon Challenge run Idea: Linklocke

in #gaming8 years ago

So, I Personally am not a Fan of Nuzlockes but I Understand why people do them, to make the game more challenging. Which I can totally Respect. Plus it's Super fun to make up your own Variation of the Nuzlocke Challenge as well. And of course I have my own.

The Linklocke Challenge.

The Rules of the Challenge are Simple.

The Linklocke follows the 2 Standard Nuzlocke Rules, Capturing the First mon that shows up in in every area and nothing else, Any Mons that Faint are considered Dead and must Either be Perma-boxed or released.

The Main Difference is The 1st, 3rd, and 5th Mons you capture are considered Leaders, and the 2nd, 4th, and 6th Mons are Considered Servants, and the Newest Servant is Linked to the most Recent Servant-less Leader.

If a Servant Dies the Leader can gain a New Servant with no Penalty, if a Leader Dies so does the Servant they are Linked to.

In battle the Leader can Switch in battle With other Leaders or their own Servant, NOT other Leader's Servants. Servants can only Switch in battle with their own Leader and nothing else.

Only the Leaders are allowed to use Mega Evolutions and Z-Moves, and only the Servants are allowed to use HM Moves(The only Exception is if you need an HM user to Progress the Story).

You are not allowed to do In-game Trades or Wondertrading.

Of course you can Add your own Clauses and Such, Like the Shiny Clause, or

And Lastly Every Leader Must have a Nickname, and Servants must have no Nickname(Optional Rule).

So that is the Linklocke, a Fairly Challenging Variant of Nuzlockes. I personally Played this Challenge Twice, once was a failure Immediately, and Second was also a Failure near the end of the game.

It's a Hard Challenge, but It's pretty fun. Though It can be Tough to keep Track of who is a Leader and who is a Servant, That's why the Nickname rule is in Play.

Either way This is an Interesting and fun Challenge.

So Any Other Challenges that you have thought of? Tell me below.

Wow!! for some reason this reminded me of Fate/Stay Night (I played it lately)

If a Servant Dies the Leader can gain a New Servant with no Penalty, if a Leader Dies so does the Servant they are Linked to.

I love making up rules like these... When I played Gunvolt after beating the main game,I tried to get all achievements which include beating all levels on SS (Never succeeded yet, I'm still trying) I consider myself "Lost" a level if I got hit even once.

Hmmm... I might make up a new Nuzlocke rule myself.
