Last night, we got back home from a 10-day holiday. It wasn’t anything special, just a visit with the family, so we’re more tired than we were when we left.We try to spend as much time as we can with the family, but I think we’ll need to go somewhere else soon, maybe to the beach, and just relax for a week.

It’s been another heatwave in Switzerland, and even though our neighbors promised they’d water our garden, I wasn’t sure how things would turn out.
Taking care of the garden is a lot of work, and I trusted them, but you never really know.I woke up at 6 AM and rushed to the garden.Honestly, I would have gone yesterday if we hadn’t come back at midnight.Let me tell you, they really earned the gift we gave them. They managed to keep all our plants alive!

Let’s take a look!

I asked them to pick anything that was ready, so nothing would go to waste.
They took some cucumbers, but left the rest. So, we ended up with six huge courgettes, and we’ll be eating them for the next few days.I understand why they left them — everyone already has enough courgettes right now. They’re too big for grilling, but perfect for lasagna.

Our tomatoes are doing really well, and they’re still healthy!
I was really happy to see that because I was worried about early blight, which affected my tomatoes last year around this time. This might be the only good thing about the lack of rain this year.
