Beautiful @gardenlady ,I have a ton of these red perennial tulips that multiply each year.
I prefer the perennial tulips for just that reason,no need to keep replanting and I love the single color for impact.
These really get going in May, yet just half an hour down the road they get started in April,so when your garden does its thing depends on where you are located.
Exactly. best to know what garden zone you are in before planting something new.
And The key to your tulips coming back is 2 things: first, cut off the stem once the flower petals fall and 2, leave the leaves for at least 6 weeks so that they soak up the energy from the sun to feed the bulb below.
