Greenhouse update July 14thsteemCreated with Sketch.

Hi dere and welcome to da greenhouse, eh!

I guess it's time for an update on the plants growing in the greenhouse. It's easier to tell this story with pictures, so here we go.

My waternelon plants seem to be growing well now. I just gave them a couple of tomato cages to grow on, they seem to want to climb up something. They'll probably outgrow that pretty quickly, but it was handy to start with.

The popcorn plants are starting to tassle!

The catnip is flowering. My camera didn't quite focus properly on this picture. The poor cats can't seem to find this plant to abuse it now, I think the tomato plant smell is too strong in the greenhouse and masks the catnip smell. Custer, the big orange fluffy cat knows it's in there, but he can't find it now. He just begs me for a piece of it every day.

The cucumbers continue to climb the fence wire. I ate that big cucumber for a snack. :-)

The cherry tomatoes are starting to get ripe now. Pretty soon, I'll have a whole bunch of them getting ripe all at once.

The tomato plants have just gone nuts! The monster plant in the foreground is an heirloom Brandywine Pink double plant.

There's tomatoes all over the 2 Early Girl plants.

I have 1 yellow banana pepper in the aquaponics setup. Its a bit tall and spindly because the cherry tomato plant was blocking a fair amount of it's sunlight for a while. It has flowers now, and one pepper starting. This plant doesn't have aphids, which is a good thing.

I decided it was time to tie back the tomato plants to help support them, and to get them out of the way. They were hanging over the walkway too much.

That's it for today's update, stay tuned for future updates! :-)

I can't wait to see how your popcorn does!

It was ok last year, which is why I'm doing it again this year. The plants look better this year than they did last year, so it should be interesting.

Very cool friend.

I was just wondering how the popcorn was doing. Wow, have they matured!

The Brandywine Pink is phenomenal. I don't think I've ever seen leaves that big on a tomato plant. I look forward to seeing the tomatoes!

Everything is looking amazing and I'm still chuckling over the cats not being able to find the nip. Poor dears...

Awesome job, @amberyooper! Impressive!

Thank you!
It is kind of fun watching Custer wander around the greenhouse, looking for the nip that his nose can't find...

What an absolutely beautiful garden!
One day I hope to have a larger greenhouse like yours.
As a beginner gardener I am starting small but wishing for more. AIn't we all?

That's true! :-)
I've been at this location for about 8 or 9 years now. My garden started off really small and just kept getting bigger every year. It's a bit much to start out with a big garden, it can get a bit overwhelming sometimes.
