lol not bud. Those are beans my friend. Great northern beans and pinto beans. And no they do not. They burrow into the soil and process it into worm castings which are bio/immediately available nutrients for your plants. They also oxygenate the soil by burrowing tunnels. These tunnels do not hurt the roots. In fact they make the plant grow more vigorous roots.
