Geoengineering v2

The definition of Geoengineering is that it is the “artificial modification of Earths climate systems through two primary ideologies, Solar Radiation Management (SRM) and Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR).”

Solar Radiation Management or SRM

SRM is a type of geoengineering the atmosphere that is designed to reflect the sun’s rays in order to reduce global warming. One way to achieve this is goal is to spray different reflective substances into our atmosphere in order to increase the albedo of the clouds and therefore cool the Earth’s climate.

The Problem

According to this article dated November 21, 2017, the SAI (Stratospheric Aresol Injection method) is used to inject OH - Hydroxyl - an atmospheric cleanser of sorts - into our atmosphere to help cleanse it of different air pollutants such as methane.

The issue is with the Hydroxyl, OH itself. Depending on how concentrated the OH is determines how long methane takes to break down into water and CO2. This means that using OH as a SRM could create an overabundance of methane in our atmosphere for a significant amount of time.

The Question

What happens to our atmosphere - and ultimately to us - with an overabundance of methane in our atmosphere? We already know that methane is considered a ‘greenhouse gas’ and therefore directly impacts climate change, the very issue SAI is claiming to reverse. Is that what is happening? Are we allowing the government to continue this ‘experiment’ on our behalf either without fully understanding the consequences or - and this is a more disturbing thought - do they already understand the consequences and continue for …?

Once again, thank you for coming with me on this journey of enlightenment. I appreciated all of the comments and suggestions I got from my last post - I’m still working on that Spectroscope idea! - and I hope this article can inspire more great conversation.

Above and beyond everything else, I believe that we, as inhabitants and keepers of this precious planet, understand what decisions are being made on our behalf so that we might act accordingly to our beliefs and priorities.

Good luck out there ;)

Hi @bethalea :-) Good posts on the topic thus far.

I have been alive long enough to remember what the skies looked like, long before this SRM, Geoengineering, Chemtrails, or whatever term you want to tag it with, started. The skies used to be a beautiful hue of deep blue, and now we have light blue to milky gray, depending upon the atmospheric conditions of the day.

For over two decades now, the skies have been sprayed with toxic chemicals, supposedly to correct problems in the climate. Now that SRM and Geoengineering is finally coming into the mainstream, we can retire those tin foil hats I think.

Perhaps if corporations and governments wouldn't continually deforest the earth, we wouldn't have to worry about co2 and warming. It is called Problem, Reaction, Solution. They create the problem, we react, and they have the "solution" all ready for us(20 yrs+). Let's not forget, they had to come out and give new names for these toxic clouds, yeah indoctrination!

Aluminum Oxide, Barium, Strontium, and any other metal with an ium on the end, is not good for anything living. Stop spraying the chemicals, and plant some freaking trees already, quite simple.

Wanna see SRM in action?

These were taken right above my house. And as the day went on, it only got worse. Yes, I do know the difference between regular jet engine contrails, and SRM.

Does anyone else recall being asked if they think this might be a good idea? Does anyone else recall voting on anything regarding SRM? Don't worry, I didn't get the memo either. These decisions should not be taken lightly, and should not be made for us, but they are.

Being a parent myself, I cannot help to think what kind of future we are allowing to be built for our children. It is a sad state of affairs indeed.
