Hello Steemians

This is me @qasim-ummati.hope you all are doing well and having wonderful day.
Every explorers journey starts from a meaningful place. For me this snowy mountain valley became the point where my curiosity turned into real exploration. Today I am excited to share my Origin Point for Geo Quest Mystery Week1.

This location is the famous winter tourists destinetion surrounded by tall pine trees snow covered grund and breathtking mountain views. I have placed my SteemAtlas pin on the exact spot where i spent most of my time walking observing and enjoying a peaceful winter atmosphre.

This place is my Origin Point because it represents my first conscious experience of exploration walking through deep snow observing nature closely meeting fellow travelers and realizing how powerful and calming nature can be.

My Explorer Story

One winter trip changed the way I look at travel.
Being surrounded by snow and silence made me slow down.
Stepping through pine forests and open valleys awakened my curiosity.
Every moment felt new from snowy paths to frozen views.
Road journeys through the mountains taught me patience and appreciation.
Visiting this place with friends and spending time alone helped me reflect.
Exploration became more than movement; it became observation.
Right here my journey as an explorer truly began.

Standing in this valley I felt connected to the land and to myself. From this point forward my Geo Quest Mystery map will continue to grow one meaningful place at a time.

My Personal Photos from the Origin Point

The photos I am sharing are all taken by me during this trip:

  • Solo moments walking and standing in deep snow
  • Group photos with friends enjoying the winter experience
  • Snow coverred pine trees and open landscapes
  • Close up details showing snowfall on face and clothing
  • Road journey views leading to the destination

Each photo reflects real moments of exploration and presence in this place.

Speem watch Proof Video

I have also recorded a short Speem.watch video during my journey showing the snowy road and surroundings.

Message in the video:
“This is where my GeoQuest Mystery journey begins because this place taught me how to observe nature enjoy the moment and truly feel like an explorer.”

Hidden Clue About Me

There is a hidden word in this post that describes me as an explorer.
It is hidden using an acrostic technique and attentive readers will be able to discover it by reading carefully
Feel free to guess it in the comments.

This snowy valley is not just a destination it is the starting point of my exploration mindset. From here I aim to continue discovering new places stories and experiences through Geo Quest Mystery.

Sort:

Thank you for your participation in Geo-Quest Mystery – Week 1: The Origin Point. Here is an evaluation of the post by @qasim-ummati, following the official Week 1 rubric for Geo-Quest Mystery.

Evaluation Summary

CriteriaScoreComments
1. SteemAtlas Pin & Description1.4 / 1.5Clear SteemAtlas pin with coordinates, plus a structured location section (Kalam, Northern Areas, Pakistan) and Google Maps link. To perfect it, add 1–2 practical details for visitors (nearest landmark/entry point/what to search on arrival).
2. Creativity of Mission & Hidden Clue1.6 / 2.0The snowy “winter valley” Origin Point is meaningful and well connected to personal discovery. The acrostic clue exists and is solvable (readers guessed it), but it becomes a bit easy once highlighted in comments, reducing the “mystery” effect slightly.
3. Speem.watch Proof Video1.0 / 2.0A proof video is mentioned, but the provided link is YouTube, not clearly Speem.watch (as required). To score higher, upload/attach via Speem.watch and include the direct Speem.watch link in the post.
4. Storytelling Quality1.6 / 2.0Good structure and clear “explorer identity” theme. Strong lines about silence, snow, patience, and observation. It would be even stronger with more concrete on-site details (specific moments, sounds, people, or a short “beginning–middle–end” mini-story).
5. Photos Quality & Authenticity1.5 / 1.5Many personal photos that match the place and the winter narrative; good visual proof and variety.
6. Engagement (Comments / Clue Guessing)0.3 / 1.0The participant replies to comments on their own post, which is good. However, there is no clear evidence that they visited at least two other entries and attempted to guess their hidden clues.

Final Score: 7.4 / 10

Remarks:
This is a strong and visually appealing Origin Point with a clear SteemAtlas pin and a coherent explorer story. The main improvements to raise the score are: (1) provide a Speem.watch proof video link (not only YouTube), and (2) meet the engagement requirement by commenting on at least two other posts and attempting to guess their clues.
