George also participated in the 14th season of "Celebrity Big Brother" in 2014, where he made it to the final. His death occurred after a workplace accident on Wednesday.

A representative for "Gogglebox" expressed: "For eight series, George was a part of our 'Gogglebox' family, along with his mum Linda and stepdad Pete. We are deeply saddened by this loss and extend our heartfelt sympathies to Linda, as well as George's family and friends. We ask that their privacy be respected during this difficult time."

Essex Police reported being summoned to an incident in Shoebury, Southend-on-Sea, on Wednesday. It was reported that George died following a fall while working at height.

An Essex Police spokesperson stated: "We were alerted to an incident at Campfield Road in Shoebury around 10am on 27 March. A man had fallen from a height and was injured. Despite the efforts of the ambulance service, including the air ambulance, the man was pronounced dead at the scene. We are working closely with our partners, including the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), and a cordon is currently in place at the location."

George joined "Gogglebox" in its second series in 2013. After participating in "Celebrity Big Brother," he and his family were briefly removed from the show but later returned. During his time on the reality show, which was then aired on Channel 5, he shared the spotlight with celebrities like Stephanie Pratt from "The Hills" and actor Gary Busey, the eventual winner of that season.
