Good idea to get away from mindless Christmas consumerism. There is a part of me that thinks that the way we celebrate Christmas now isn't the way we used to celebrate it. I am a little older now and I don't do any gift giving anymore but I remember when I used to expect a lot of presents. It took away the authenticity of the Christmas tradition and turned it into a spending competition.
