Dear Steemit friends,

Giftomon has some addictive properties without a doubt. One of the incredients is the Breed menu. But first i mentioned yesterday that i had no clue how to earn Mcoin and Gifto (GTO). The latter is a real ERC20 token which is traded on already many exchanges like Binance and there is a chance for value appreciation in the future with further mass adoption.

Earning Gifto(GTO) and Mcoin

Today i realized that i was just a bit stupid don't recognizing that these gift boxes right beside the big Gifto logo are clickable..

and voila i got a whopping 10,000 Mcoin and 4 Gifto (GTO) not knowing what Mcoin will be worth in the future..

Now that's something like a turning point for me because with this monetary incentive behind it is possible to cover the costs and maybe earn some extra GTO. Today i earned about $1,20 and i'm curious what will happen in the next days.

Breeding the best Creatures

Today i realized also that i got a Rare(blue) Giftomon out of my breed yesterday!

Checking the input.. two green Giftomon.. causation or just correlation? I decided to breed again two of my green Giftomons to prove the theory. One Giftomon i selected served me well in all the battles (automatic chosen by Giftomon) until now with some healing magic. My hope now was that with the higher experience level and special abilities i get a very strong new creature.. let's see..

I looked in the Inbox and saw the Status "Bred" and make the assumption that my new creature was already created.. but sadly not, it must be visible in the Inbox.

Things looked also fine on the Ethereum blockchain with 147 block confirmations it should be already done.. i thought.

It looked like everything went fine.. and you can also see the cost for my new breed. Then I discovered a timer under the parents of my new breed of 18 minutes and after that still the message "breeding".. after an hour checking the status i recognized that could be very time consuming process.. will i get a Legendary Giftomon (gold) in the end? I'm just kidding myself.. that would be too easy 😂 but i admit there is always this curiosity if you have to wait for something.

But let's look what happened next.. my parents were ready again for a battle.. but still no new Giftomon.. the message in the Inbox status saying

"Giftomon would arrive in a few minutes. "

was at least a bit too optimistic in my point of view after a few hours.. but there is a very active Telegram channel and user @Kingcoco10 confirmed that it should be the congested network where transactions with more gas are picked first. So i decided just waiting until something will happen. That's also a good example to confirm such statements about blockchains like:

"nothing more than expensive and slow databases"

like in the Coindesk article from Consensus 2018 conference. As long the scalability is not solved we'll see such behaviour in every game on the blockchain. Remember how well Steemit works in comparison, almost instant confirmation of huge numbers of transactions like posting this article.. in such situations i'm more aware what scalability means in terms of useability and cost saving. But Ethereum working hard on solutions with Plasma and i hope Giftomon will also benefit in the future with more and more players around the world.

Right or Wrong?

Ok, my theory was green + green = blue and now the question is it right or wrong? Now after 4 hours! my Giftomon arrived in the Inbox..

as well in My Units and .. surprise i got a Common(gray) Giftomon with the following abilites:

After the first disappointment i recognized the 3 special abilities with Level 2 and 3 active and passive skills what should put in some weight into a battle.. but sadly the new Giftomon is not in the active party. Even now i don't know if i can edit the members in the party.. anyone?
