RE: Monsanto – A devil disguised as our saviour from hunger
We may be able to tackle pollution, global weather meltdown and other issues by changing the ways we live, though once there is enough GMO pollen out there; once enough of the food chain is contaminated, we will never be able to recall them.
GM plants cannot be recalled, but as living organisms they will multiply and mutate, passing any damaging traits from generation to generation.
If it was any other product or non-living chemicals, it would have required much more stringent tests or clinical trials.
Since these are living organisms, the remedies need to be much stronger than the protection (patent and licensing) of the same.
How can the world reverse this?
well, we are sort off in the last moment. in North America, we may never be able to grow soy or corn which is not contaminated. other parts of the world are more hopeful since GMO has not gone so deep into the food chain. bringing more and more awareness on how evil this rechnology is, is an important step to eradicating it
I hope that what they have done to India and their farmers will wake up people in other nations to ban GMO.
I want to do my part if I am able to buy 100 acres and perhaps create a small refuge / island of GMO free organic garden and farm.
