What if I say that Cosmos is not perfect, as long as Ethereum, Bitcoin or Solana, etc... Most likely you'll say "Of course it's not". But what should we change to be more secure, scalable and intuitive for the thousands of new developers that are interested to build their dapps on top of popular blockchains? This was answered by Jae Kwon, the founder of Cosmos and Tendermint, who is now working on a new blockchain called Gnoland.

Jae kwon is about to back to the initial vision of the Cosmos network, where the hub should have had a minimum functions to prevent the network spamming, boost security, and enable separate functioning of zones and hubs. The initial Cosmos philosophy also included a dual-token model, where PHOTON should have been a fee token and ATOM a governance/staking token. You don't need to unstake your governance token to use it for the fees, you just have another token with a fixed constant inflation instead of exponential that you are using to pay network fees. And, what is important, you don't decrease the network security.

Also a very interesting moment is a usage of own smart-contract programming language, that is called Gnolang and is based on Golang, we may even call it a Golang fork. The Gnolang usage along with Goroutines allows developers to compile faster in comparing to C++ based languages, like Solidity and Rust. It also ensures more concise grammar, resource-effective concurrency, and double-spending protection. In other words Gnolang transfers benefits of Golang to the smart-contracts and guarantee the optimal usage of advanced hardware of modern machines.

So Gnomes, the things are only starting and I'm very excited to observe the development of the Gnoland and a new ecosystem around it, join me and Gnoland team to be the first who know and test it, visit the website and Github. You also are very welcome to try some initial testing here: https://gno.land/r/boards:gnolang/4 and share your opinion or suggestions within official Discord.
