About Cervantes and his book "Don Quixote" /part 2/
The Knight's novel is an exalted genre in which the character performs extraordinary feats and lives as if out of the world, in a world of miracles and wizards. According to Shklovsky, the novelty of the novel is that Cervantes for the first time puts the poor madman in the place of the knight and surrounds him with a low reality. The wisdom and deception of the bold man reveals the true essence of Don Quixote - writes Shklovsky. The introduction of Sancho Pansa has sharply altered the construction of the novel, Shklovsky said. Now all events are carried out by analyzing the two types of consciousness - the knight and the armor-bearer.
The armor-bearer analyzes everything with the help of a parodic abundance of proverbs.Don Quixote analyzes everything not only as a knight, but also as a humanitarian educated person. By becoming an interlocutor, Don Quixote becomes more democratic and more talkable. He philosophically understands everything that is being done. And Sancho Panza at the same time believes in everything and does not believe anything . Faith is a matter of choice of will, hypothesis, a "maybe" - it is a conceptual position, and the mind sometimes has fun to take another or several very different opinions on this position. Why not a rational opinion? Thus, one can understand how in a game where the bet could be bigger, Don Quixote's irony may appear and induce Unnamuno's unconquerable antinomies, his "agonistic" philosophy, and his "sense of the tragic in life ". If we remain in the plan of the irony, which has actually begun with sadness, we can recall the challenging words of Don Quixote. The wonderful scene with the venerated horse in the dukes: after Sancho, fallen from the horse, tells of the amazing miracles he saw during his cavalcade in the heavens, his master attacked him and, without deviating from his usual gravity, "Sancho, after you want to believe what you saw in the sky, I also want you to believe me when I tell you what I've seen in the Montessinos cave. And I do not have to explain it to you anymore.
A great glimpse opens the eyes of man for the knowledge, bitter and imperative, of the omnipotence of reality. This glimmer is reflected in the literature and in this similarity of literature, which is called Cervantes, through a fierce and proud acceptance accompanied by sorrow, by melancholy and ... by irony. When we look at the exceptional gifts that Cervantes owns, we are surprised that they needed them so long to mature. The reason is perhaps that they needed the relevant content that could not be given to them at once because it was the reality, the experience, the life, the experience. Today we find that the gifts of Cervantes are the realist writer's gifts. Cervantes is superior in the presentation of things, circumstances and nature. A stroke, an ointment is enough to recreate a place, a moment is enough to present a season. His work is filled with many night scenes that emit a shining beauty. He as a creator is deeply related to the era of Baroque, in which the authors develop an incredible sense of indefinable, mysterious mysteries of the natural powers. In one of his superb poetic fragments, the description of the fantastic night in the dukes, Part II, Chapter XIX / Cervantes, establishes a connection between the magic of the night and the magic of music, proving his relationship as a creator with Shakespeare. He writes: "Madam, where there is music there could not be a bad thing.
