I prefer gold over crypto currency as gold is a better store of value. Crypto currency has to much volatility mostly driven by Asian markets. If China implements capital controls on crypto currencies I could see major collapse in prices and gains in gold.
I cannot imagine Gold being seen as an equal opportunity as crypto currency. Two totally different worlds.
