Good Vibes #2, songs to help you get that chill vibe!

I've been thinking a lot lately about some small things that I could do every day to be a bit more positive. And I have decided that my answer has been there for me my whole life... I just didn't realize it, until now. The idea hit me and almost knocked me over!
It's music.

This weeks #goodvibesmusic post is going to be about a few songs that help me relax and just chill out, what I'll call my sunshine songs since they both have sunshine in the titles... Haha! For me, both relaxing and chilling out are important in my life, as I'm sure it is for you as well. And of course there's always some good tunes out there to help achieve the mood you are looking for! One of the biggest things that helps me stay positive and upbeat is being able to just relax. Sometimes that's just jamming out to music on my back porch, and other times it's sitting around the table with friends, playing games and (of course) either listening to or playing music. So here are just two of my top songs for chillin' in the sunshine!

The first I have for you this week is 'Sunshine of Your Love' - by Cream.

My dad was always a huge fan of Eric Clapton, along with other bands from the 60's and 70's like Led Zeppelin and Lynard Skynard, so naturally Cream was an often played group in our home when I was growing up. And this song is just a great song to have playing in the background when you gather with your friends and party. Maybe it reminds me of the days when my parents were having poker games and friends over during my childhood, or maybe it's just that driving, soothing guitar riff... Whatever it is, it certainly helps to brighten my mood and melt away the cares of my day.

Next up on the list this week is a song by my favorite band Alice In Chains called 'Sunshine".

Along with being one of my favorite bands, this is also one of my personal top 5 favorite songs by Alice In Chains. Because it's just too hard to pick one... Anyway, this song just has that chill vibe to it with some heavy mixed in, because in order for me to relax, I've got to be rockin'! Now, grunge is usually known for the murky punk/metal hybrid style of music that later defined the 90's, and of course being a child of the 90's, grunge helped me to find my inspiration for my own music. That in itself takes me back to calm memories and a relaxed state of mind. But when the chorus kicks in, I just melt in my chair and sing along to let it all off my chest.

"Sunshine...sweet love my labor
Don't mind...I don't care no more"

So there you have my Good Vibes #2. I hope you've enjoyed the songs and maybe got a better outlook on your day from them as I have! I'm going to try and make a post every week of a few songs that give me good vibes and positive thoughts, and tag it with #goodvibesmusic! I would love to hear your thoughts and also your good vibe songs! Either post them below or make your own post and tag it! Let's spread some positive music and vibes all over Steemit! Peace!

More good vibes. Well, as you say, for you songs that relax you. Since, I'm not so much a rock/grunge fan, it has a different effect on me. But the music I like and relaxes me, may not do the same with you! That is so great of music and art in general, it is very personal.

Exactly! There is something out there for everyone in the music and art world! What are some of your relaxing songs?

Owwww, I like so many different kind of music, a part of what I like you can actually see in my blog. But, some artists I really like are: Hooverphonic, Talk Talk, Rhye, Sade, Björk just to name a very few and more the pop-ish ones. But I do very much like electronic music, experimental electronics, some classical, modern classical, jazz and so much more :)
